Empowering Communities
At TheMJTFoundation, we're here for people going through some of life's hardest moments. Based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, our organization supports individuals facing PTSD, trauma, addiction, and other struggles that can weigh heavily on emotional wellbeing. We also work with young people, helping them set goals, build confidence, and develop the skills and habits they need to create a hopeful future. Everything we do is centered on one simple goal: creating a space where people feel safe, welcomed, and free from judgment, where they can feel productive, capable, and truly valued.
We bring our mission to life through in-person events held across the country. These gatherings are designed to be judgment-free spaces where people can show up as they are, without fear of criticism or stigma. Depending on the event, you might find supportive group gatherings, goal-setting workshops, wellness activities, or hands-on experiences that help remind people of their own worth. As we travel from state to state, we're always looking for communities that could use a little extra encouragement, connection, and hope.
All of our programs are completely free. We believe support shouldn't come with a price tag, so we make sure our services are accessible to anyone who needs them. We're planning to kick off our first events within a few months of receiving our official nonprofit status, with our first gatherings expected in fall 2026.
Beyond our core programs, we're also passionate about helping young people build stronger reading and writing skills. These aren't just academic exercises, they're tools to help kids communicate more confidently and set themselves up for long-term success. Every program we offer is rooted in charitable and educational purposes, and none of our work is designed to benefit any single person beyond the support we provide to those we serve.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we operate under federal guidelines that recognize the kind of work we do, supporting people through hardship and trauma, promoting education, and helping communities thrive, as genuinely charitable. Whether it's helping someone rebuild after addiction, supporting a family through trauma, or giving a young person the confidence to dream bigger, we believe this work makes a real difference, and we're honored to be able to do it.
